CHP technology

The greatest advantage of a cogeneration system is the reliability of power supply, as it operates independently from the public power supply.

Combined Heat and Power, also cogeneration, is an independent power and heat generation unit.

It allows the user to either sell the entire amount of generated electricity into the electricity grid or use it for personal consumption, and the thermal energy can be used for heating, hot domestic water preparation and various technological processes.

In power generation, we can achieve primary energy savings of over 25% compared to separate generation.

The history of Indop CHP

The Indop d.o.o. Company was established in 2007 by the Gorenje d.d. Group based in Velenje, with an aim to produce equipment for the defence industry, the project of which was completed in 2010. This stage was followed by refocusing the Company on the area of development, production and maintenance of advanced energy systems with high-efficiency of input primary energy. Consequently, we have become one of the leading manufacturers of CHP units in Slovenia.

The Company's activity includes the development, production and maintenance of heat and power cogenerating units (CHP), in the power range of 6 kWe to 20 kWe (micro CHP units), and in the power range class of 50 kWe to 550 kWe (macro CHP units). The units of over 550 kWe power, however, are completely custom-designed and adapted exclusively to the customer's wishes and needs. We have installed more than 70 units of different power capacities in Slovenia, with the total installed capacity exceeding 3 MWe, and during the last year, we sold on other European markets (Germany, Italy, Ireland and Belgium) the units in the total capacity of over 1 MWe, especially in the micro segment.
